Everybody has their own unique, and wonderful stories, but here's mine!
My name is John Bernas. I am a student at River Hill High located in Howard County, Maryland. As a kid I always loved music. In my early days i started listening to 70's rock and some 70's pop. As I reached the age of 7, I discovered hip hop by hearing lil Wayne's "Lollipop". After that I fell in love with rap and rock. Due to fact that I loved rock I decided to take drum lessons. Turned out it was something I really liked. As of now I have been playing drums for 8 years and have been in my band "Call Shotgun" for 3 years. At the age of 12 the genre of hip hop started to really become popular. I always thought it was really different then old rap like lil Wayne, Eminem, etc, but after listening to it for about a month I started to really get interested in new age hip hop. I started to produce on major programs like Fl Studio and LMMS. At first I hated producing because i was really bad at it. But after practicing for awhile I started to become pretty good at it. Then, when I was deciding if I wanted to take an elective, I saw a class called Music Technology. That night I looked it up and found out it would be a perfect class for me.
